Request a review of your housing decision

Bidding resolution

We are pleased to inform you that the problems with bidding that some customers experienced, has been successfully resolved. 

Our team has identified and addressed the cause of the problem, ensuring that customers are now able to bid.

The issue was related to customers being unable to bid, specifically for 2 bedroom properties. 

We have checked the bidding system to confirm that everything is functioning as expected.

Housing Register applicants have the right to ask for a review of certain decisions that West Northamptonshire has made about their application for housing or an offer of accommodation. 

A request for a review needs to take place within 21 calendar days of receiving a decision about their housing application.  

This includes a review of:

  • decisions about refusing an application to join the Housing Register 
  • the banding decision 
  • offers of housing  
  • decisions as to the facts of an applicant’s case which are likely to be or have been considered in whether to allocate accommodation to them 
  • suitability of accommodation review 
  • whether an allocation or a nomination constitutes a final offer of accommodation 
  • decisions to remove an application from the Housing Register

If you would like to request a review, you can:

  • write to the Housing Allocations Team, One Angel Square, Angel Street, Northampton, NN1 1ED
  • email [email protected] 

State clearly that the request is a review under Housing Act 1996 (Part 6). The review will be completed by an officer that has not been involved in your case.

A written response will be provided to you within 56 days.
