Food Waste Recycling Competition

We have launched our Food Waste Recycling Competition - a fun and impactful way to help the environment, reduce waste, and win fantastic prizes!

How to enter

Fill out our online form and make your pledge to recycle all your food waste at home. You will then be entered into our prize draw, with exciting rewards generously provided by our local sponsors.

Entries close at midnight on Sunday 14 September.

The competition is run by West Northamptonshire Council (WNC) of One Angel Square, Northampton NN1 1ED.

The competition is free to enter and no purchase is necessary. By submitting an entry you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

In entering, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. WNC may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter this competition.

The competition is open to all West Northants residents aged 18 and over, excluding employees of West Northants Council waste management team. We reserve the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants.

Only one entry per person is permitted.

Entry is via on-line form only and by successfully answering all questions and pledging to recycle food waste.

Entrants will need to provide their name, email and postal address to enter. Prizes will be sent via email or post and WNC does not accept any responsibility for any incorrect contact details provided resulting in the loss of a prize. Incomplete or late entries will not be accepted.

WNC reserves the right to publish prize winners names and addresses; for example, "Julie B - Helmdon."

The competition runs from Tuesday 1 July 2025 to Sunday 14 September 2025. All entries must be received by midnight on Sunday 14 September 2025. Winners will be chosen by random draw performed by a computer process and will be notified by email by Friday 19 September 2025. 

Prizes will be sent via email (where applicable) or post. WNC are not liable for any missed prizes due to such actions as emails being missed or going into spam folders.

Prizes are detailed on our Food Waste Recycling Competition webpage. Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and there are no cash alternatives.

WNC reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition or these terms at any time without prior notice. In the event of any dispute regarding conduct, results and all matters relating to the competition, WNCs decision is final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.

The competition and rules will be governed by English law.
