National Highways
National Highways are responsible for roadworks on certain trunk roads. The roads are highlighted in green on our mapping:
- M1
- M45
- A5
- A14
- A43 between the M40 Junction 10 and M1 Junction 15a (from Northampton to the West Northamptonshire boundary to the Walgrave junction is the Council)
- A45 between Thrapston and the M1 Junction 15 (from Junction 16 to the West Northamptonshire boundary from between Ecton and the M1 Junction 15 is the Council)
Network North
This funding is part of the Network North plan to improve journeys for all and provides long-term certainty to local authorities. This funding is in addition to local transport funding from the last Spending Review and additional to what local transport authorities were expecting in future.
Allocated across the next 11 years, it will represent a more than two-thirds increase in Department for Transport (DfT) support for local roads.
