Apply for a parking permit in the Daventry area
Fraudulent PCN text messages
We are aware of scam text messages being sent to West Northamptonshire residents. They are fraudulently claiming that residents have been issued a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) and must follow a link to pay a fine.
Be aware that we never issue PCNs via text.
If anyone has received a genuinely issued PCN from us, it will have been:
- on their vehicle when they have returned to it (parking PCN)
- via the post with photographic evidence (bus lane offence and/or moving traffic offence)
Please ignore any text messages you receive regarding the issuing of a PCN.

Permits for construction vehicles
Temporary Permits allow vehicles used for construction or similar work to remain in a short stay car park beyond the normal time limit. A Temporary Permit costs £23 for a period of 28 consecutive days.

Special exemption permits
A special exemption permit allows a vehicle to remain in a short stay car park beyond the normal time limit. It is only available for people engaged in a form of community service which requires quick access to their vehicle - for example, reserve fire fighters.
Special exemption permits are issued free of charge.

Skip permits
A skip permit allows a contractor engaged on construction or similar work to place a waste skip within a parking bay on a Council car park.
The fee for a skip permit for up to 4 weeks is currently £28. A separate application must be made for each waste skip. After four weeks a new permit must be applied for and paid for.
