Car parking

A parking permit is issued for the bridal car for ceremonies only. Car parking for guests is available at the nearby St Johns multi-storey car park.

Ceremony room details

Our ceremony room at the Guildhall can seat up to 35 guests, with space for 11 more to stand. Children count towards the total number of guests. Photographers and videographers do not count towards the guest limit.

Please note, the ceremony room is in a public building. Other people may be using the building and its services during your ceremony. Only service dogs are permitted in the ceremony room.

Audio facilities

Our music player has USB (for memory sticks only, formatted as FAT32), AUX input option using our provided 5 metre-long 3.5mm jack-to-jack cable, iPhone docking station for iPhone 5 models upwards and Bluetooth.

If you are bringing your own music on a USB or on a mobile device, please ensure you designate a guest to operate this. We only supply 4 basic classical music tracks should you not bring your own music. The tracks are as follows:

• Track 1 - Guests assembling – Pachelbel – Canon In D
• Track 2 - Bride/partner 1 entrance – Handel – The arrival of the Queen of Sheba
• Track 3 - Signing schedule – Vivaldi – The Four Seasons : Spring Allegro
• Track 4 - Exit of couple – Handel – Hornpipe from Water music

Disabled access and special needs

Northampton Registration Office and its ceremony room are wheelchair accessible. If you have a special need you want to let us know about (such as a disability or interpreter), please contact the Registration Service once you have booked your appointment.
