This Skills Bootcamp will give you an overview on the key aspects of working in this sector and, upon successful completion, you will be guaranteed an interview with an employer in the sector.
To qualify, you will need to have a reasonable level of English and maths. You will also need to be able to travel independently to the campus in Moulton, Northamptonshire.
Duration
The course will take four weeks to complete.
Start date
This course is scheduled to start in October 2026.
Where you will study
This course will be taught through a mix of online and on-campus learning at Moulton campus, near Northampton.
What you will learn
- Essential skills in food manufacturing - including food safety and hygiene, workplace procedures, production equipment, quality standards, how food products are made and packaged
- Employability skills - communication, teamwork, problem-solving, time management, reliability and confidence in the workplace
- Lean management skills - how businesses improve efficiency, reduce waste and increase productivity
Assessment
In order to complete the programme you will be assessed on your understanding of key principles and be observed completing a number of practical tasks.
