Find out if a tree is protected

Find out if a tree has a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) or is protected because it is in a Conservation Area by searching our interactive mapping. Ensure that all Tree Preservation Orders and Conservation Area layers are selected from the Map Features under Heritage and Conservation. To view further information on a tree or conservation area, click on the item or area that displays.

The mapping shows all TPOs made by us. Some of the protected trees shown may no longer be present and this map should be used as a guide only. The position and information on our maps are indicative only and not legally binding and the legal order takes the legal precedence.

Obtaining copies of TPOs

A copy of a TPO can be obtained at a charge of £30, by contacting [email protected]. Please provide the TPO reference number or a further research charge could be payable - see our planning fees and charges.
