Partnership register
This register records the partnership interests of West Northamptonshire Council, including any identified risks and mitigating actions. The register is updated annually.
This register documents strategic partnerships that are:
- critical to delivering an objective of the Council’s Corporate Plan or a statutory obligation
- created by entities identified in the Council’s Constitution, such as the Health and Wellbeing Board or a joint committee
- of strategic importance, where the council has significant control (financial or non-financial) or oversight of a joint agreement to deliver a specific outcome
Delivery mechanisms could include partnering contracts, collaboration agreements or outsourcing.
This register excludes certain working arrangements which are not considered to be defined as a partnership, including:
- contracts for services where the Council (the commissioner) has entered into an agreement with a third party (the provider) to deliver services on its behalf
- networks or forums of officers or elected members who come together to discuss topical issues, such as policy and strategy or multi-agency operational meetings
- external bodies that invite councils to take part in certain activities, such as nominations to governing bodies
