Winter Mini Challenge

The Summer Reading Challenge finished on the 20 September. However, kids can now join in with the Winter Mini Challenge!

The Winter Mini Challenge is back! Following the popular ‘Story Garden’ Summer Reading Challenge, this online challenge invites children to read three books or more, between 1 December 2025 and 20 February 2026 to earn digital rewards.

Take part

Taking part in the Winter Mini Challenge is easy:

Step 1

Step 2

Read at least 3 books over the holidays.

Step 3

Rate and review the books on the Winter Mini Challenge website to unlock a virtual badge and download a certificate to print.

There are also lots of extra books, games, activities and quizzes on the website for you to enjoy.

Books to be read for the Winter Mini Challenge

Children can read books from the library including our range of e-Books and e-Audiobooks, they can also read books they already have at home or from school.
