Registered battlefields

The Register of Historic Battlefields is maintained by Historic England.

In considering whether to grant planning permission, or permission in principle for the development of land in England which affects a Registered Battlefield, the local planning authority must have special regard to the desirability of preserving or enhancing the asset or its setting.  

There are 3 Registered Battlefields in West Northamptonshire.
