In considering whether to grant planning permission, or permission in principle for the development of land in England which affects a Registered Park and Garden, the local planning authority must have special regard to the desirability of preserving or enhancing the asset or its setting.  

There are 19 Registered Historic Parks and Gardens in West Northamptonshire.
