Description

The School Attendance Support Service (SASS) previously known as the  Education and Inclusion Partnership Team (EIPT) acts to champion the right of all children to receive a high-quality education. The service work to overcome barriers to learning through skilled problem-solving with a range of partners.

Parents should get in touch with the WEST SASS by completing the online form to report information, request support or advice, or make a general enquiry.

Schools have a responsibility to notify the local authority when a child has started at or left their school outside the standard transition points (beginning of the school year). The SASS provide the following guidance for schools and settings to use in relation to children starting or leaving a school:

Managed moves and reduced timetables should be discussed at the school's SASO termly meeting.
