Christmas and New Year hours
Sixfields, Ecton, Daventry, Towcester, and Brixworth HWRCs will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year's Day. They will also close at 2pm on Christmas Eve, depending on the day it falls.
Farthinghoe Recycling and Re-use Centre will close at midday on Christmas Eve and will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

Bank holiday opening times
Daventry Household Waste Recycling Centre is open on bank holidays, except where these fall on the centre's closed days (Wednesdays and Thursdays).
The site will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day, and will close at 2pm on Christmas Eve (depending on which day Christmas Eve falls on).

Vans and trailers
Vehicles are restricted to a maximum weight limit of 3.5 tonnes.
All commercial-type vehicles (including hired) need an e-permit to access the site. Find out more and apply for a free waste e-permit.
Site does not accept trade waste
Small scale traders can recycle certain waste types, or dispose of general waste at a competitive price at some of our sites using the trade waste service.
Compost
Urbaser Ltd sells compost at this site for £4.50 per 25 litre bag, made from recycled green waste.
Using the centre
When using the centre:
- do not queue before 10am; it obstructs gates and roads
- wear protective gloves, appropriate footwear (no open toes), and clothing
- only bring what you can handle or bring help for heavy items
- pre-sort your waste to reduce congestion and make recycling easier and more accurate
- be courteous; abusive behaviour towards staff and members of the public will not be tolerated
- be aware that there is no pedestrian access - if you require alternative arrangements, contact Customer Services 2 days prior to visiting
- place items in the correct containers
- cooperate with staff and ask for help if needed
- keep children and animals inside your vehicle
- observe the site speed limit and one-way system; park in marked bays
- comply with all policies, including e-permit and DIY waste restrictions
- all commercial and chargeable household waste must be paid for
