Armed Forces Covenant
The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise from the nation that those who serve or have served in the armed forces, and their families, are treated fairly.
West Northants Council signed the Armed Forces Covenant on 7 October 2021, we achieved Silver Status on the Defence Employer Recognition scheme in the Autumn of 2022 and Gold Status in July 2023.
Care Leaver Covenant
Our commitment to the Care Leaver Covenant goes beyond the standard support provided by local authorities.
We’re focusing on enhancing opportunities and improving outcomes for care-experienced individuals and have pledged our commitment to ensuring a bright future for young care leavers in West Northamptonshire.
As part of our commitment to the Care Leaver covenant, you will be offered a guaranteed interview if you meet the essential criteria of the role you apply for and if you are a care leaver.
Disability Confident
The Disability Confident scheme is a government standard. It aims to encourage employers to be positive about recruiting and retaining people with disabilities.
