Support after sexual assault

If you have experienced sexual assault, support is available. You do not have to report it to the police to get help.

Across West Northamptonshire, services are in place to support you with your health, safety and emotional wellbeing.

You can contact the West Northamptonshire Sexual Health Service for further advice.

They offer:

  • testing for sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
  • advice on pregnancy and emergency contraception
  • support with questions or worries you may have
  • access to contraception and follow-up care

All services are free and confidential. You will be treated with respect and compassion.

If you have been sexually assaulted, please contact Serenity Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) directly on 01604 601713.

You may wish to report the assault to the police who will work closely with our services.
