Get help putting your bins out
If you are unable to put out your general waste, recycling or garden waste due to age or health reasons, we can arrange to collect your bins, bags or boxes from your property. We will return them back to your normal bin storage spot.
Before you apply
When you apply for bin collection support, we may ask you for proof you are eligible.
If you live with someone or have regular visitors who could put out your refuse you won’t be eligible for the assisted collection service. We may withdraw this service at any time if we believe you are no longer eligible. If your bin is presented at kerbside, we will assume you now have someone who is able to help you put out the bins.
This service is only for residents who would normally present their bins, sacks or boxes at the kerbside. It is not available to residents in flats with communal bin stores.

What you'll need to do next
If your application is successful:
- you will need to tell us where your bins, bags or boxes will be left on your property, and make sure they are not behind a locked gate
- if you store your sacks in another bin please make sure they are taken out and placed on top of the bin ready for collection
- if the collection crew cannot access your bins, sacks or boxes on the collection day they will not return
