People who live in West Northamptonshire can get help if they are in a crisis and need urgent money support.
People can also get help if they want to learn how to manage their money better.
What can I get?

You can get a benefits check, budgeting tools and free advice about debt and saving energy.

Help for a short time if something sudden happens and you cannot afford basic things.
An example of a crisis

Examples of when you may need help:
- there is a fire or flood in your home
- you have no food, heating, or money
- an important item breaks, like a cooker or fridge
- you have a serious health emergency
- you get a terminal diagnosis and need urgent help
Housing payment support

You can receive housing payment support, which replaces Discretionary Housing Payments.
Local places to get help

Visit your local library, community hubs or advice centre for help and information.
What we cannot do

We cannot give ongoing payments or pay regular bills.
We can only help in a crisis when you can show clear proof of the emergency.
