Filming locations
Northamptonshire is home to many unique locations, from the highest concentration of stately homes in England to sweeping countryside and gritty urban backdrops.
We work closely with Creative England’s Filming in England Team to facilitate productions and strive to help production companies wherever we can.
Creative England have launched online databases to showcase the assets, crew and suppliers we have on offer:

Kingsman: The Golden Circle/Another Country

Matthew Vaughan’s Kingsman: the Golden Circle, featuring a host of stars including Taron Egerton, Colin Firth, Mark Strong, Channing Tatum and Pedro Pascal.
Marek Kanievska’s Another Country, also starring Colin Firth alongside Rupert Everett.
Napoleon/Les Miserables

Boughton House near Kettering is a popular destination for filmmakers, with Ridley Scott (Napoleon, starring Joaquin Phoenix), and Tom Hooper (Les Miserables, starring Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe and Anne Hathaway) seeing value in its grandeur.
Men in Black International

F Gary Gray’s Men in Black International, also starring Chris Hemsworth alongside an all-star cast including Liam Neeson and Tessa Thompson.

F1

Brad Pitt and co-star Damson Idris spent plenty of time at Silverstone race circuit, filming for Joseph Kosinski’s Apple TV movie, F1, which saw its UK release in June 2025. Filming in England has posted a fascinating blog about locations used in the movie.
Kinky Boots

Perhaps unsurprisingly, as it’s based on the story of Northamptonshire shoemaker Steve Pateman, Julian Jarrold’s feelgood hit Kinky Boots filmed at a number of locations in the county, mostly at the Tricker’s Factory in Northampton.
