Local services

RJ Community CIC

From 1 April 2026, RJ Community CIC (Community Interest Company) have been commissioned to provide a Information and Advice Service (IAS), supporting Deaf and hard-of-hearing residents across West Northamptonshire. 

The service is jointly commissioned by North Northamptonshire Council (NNC) and West Northamptonshire Council, but led by NNC.

National services

Royal National Institute for Deaf People (RNID)

The RNID offer information and support for people who are Deaf, have hearing loss or tinnitus, and those who support someone.

Royal Association for Deaf People (RAD)

The RAD provide services to Deaf people in their first or preferred language, usually British Sign Language (BSL). Their website also uses the Signapse AI video language translator.

British Deaf Association (BDA)

The British Deaf Association supports Deaf people in the UK by promoting equality, access, and recognition of British Sign Language (BSL) as a living language and core part of Deaf identity.

National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS)

The NDCS provide advice and support topics to help you make decisions as your child grows, or if you work with deaf children.
