Day services

There are different types of day services depending on the individual's needs.

For individuals with ongoing high support needs, who require a more intensive support package.

This service is offered as a long-term service for people aged 18 and over with eligible needs, as per the Care Act 2014.

What the service can do for you 

Long term care provided by a day service supports people with ongoing high individual support needs to support you with: 

  • a fully-supported transition from school or an educational setting, where required
  • person-centred support based on individual support needs
  • outcome-focussed support to build a person’s skills
  • an enabling service that works on maximising people’s strengths to help them fulfil their potential
  • positive risk-taking to enable people to achieve their aspiration and goals

How you get the service

A social care professional needs to refer you to the service - contact Adult Social Care.

What happens once you are referred

When the service receives your referral a member of the team will contact you to arrange for you to visit Olympus House or at your home to validate your care needs and to agree the level of care and support you require. 

When this is complete, a service start date will be agreed and service will commence on this date.

How the service is reviewed

The Care Manager will carry out statutory reviews. However, the service will continue to work with you in reviewing the support offered.

For individuals with ongoing support needs around complex behaviour.

This service is offered as a long-term service for people aged 18 and over with eligible needs, as per the Care Act 2014.

This service is offered as a long-term service for people aged 18 and over with eligible needs, as per the Care Act 2014.

There are 3 locations in West Northamptonshire. The service at Gladstone Road supports people with both learning and physical disabilities.

  • build social skills and form new friendships
  • take positive risks to achieve aspiration and goals
  • be supported by a team of staff that promotes inclusion and independence
  • get support with personal care
