Essential system maintenance on 8 October
Some online regulatory services and private sector housing services will be unavailable on Thursday 8 October while we carry out essential system maintenance. This may cause temporary disruption to some online services.
Cooling towers and evaporative condensers have been associated with outbreaks of legionnaires' disease, which is a type of pneumonia.
If you are in control of a premises which has a cooling tower or evaporative condenser on site, then you have a statutory duty to notify us of this under The Notification of Cooling Towers and Evaporative Condensers Regulations 1992.
The purpose of the registration scheme is to identify potential sources of legionella risk.
There is no fee to register.
Please contact us to:
- notify us of a cooling tower or evaporative condenser
- make a change or surrender a permit
- inform us if your cooling tower or evaporative condenser is no longer being used or has been removed
