Skin piercing registration

In order to carry out Acupuncture, Cosmetic Piercing, Electrolysis, Tattooing or Semi-Permanent skin piercing both the practitioner and the premises must be registered with West Northamptonshire Council under the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982.

Conditions

There are byelaws (conditions) relating to the practice of skin piercing. You will be visited by an authorised officer once you have registered to check that your procedures and premises are suitable.

Costs

The current costs are:

  • £113.00 per practitioner
  • £282.50 per premises
