Report a licensed premises

We investigate reports about licensed premises when:

  • licence conditions may have been breached
  • a premises appears to be operating without the required licence
  • problems are serious or happen repeatedly

Before you report a problem

Some concerns are dealt with by other council services or partner organisations.

How to report a licensed premises

If your concern is not covered by the services listed above, email your complaint to [email protected].

Include:

  • your name
  • your address and contact details
  • the name and address of the premises
  • details of the issue, including dates and times where possible
  • any supporting evidence, such as an incident diary, photographs or videos

Anonymous complaints

We cannot investigate or record anonymous complaints.

You must provide your contact details when reporting a concern.

What happens next

We will review the information you provide and decide whether further investigation is needed.

If you continue to experience problems and other attempts to resolve the issue have not been successful, you may be able to apply for a review of the premises licence.
